A1 · Lesson 051

Describing pain & illness

Describe symptoms, their timing and how you feel.

By the end of this lesson

Give a clear symptom report, say when it started and answer questions about pain or medicines.

Practise a fever-and-cough report and a rash conversation, using your own symptoms rather than guessing a diagnosis.

Say this now

I have a fever and a cough.

Say as a manphǒm mee khâi láe ai khrápผมมีไข้และไอครับ
Say as a womanchǎn mee khâi láe ai khâฉันมีไข้และไอค่ะ

Example symptoms are for language practice. Describe what you notice, when it began and any medicine you have taken; do not use the dialogue to diagnose an illness.
