Lesson 55 of 103
A1 · Lesson 055
Hospital
Find the right department and ask about a hospital visit.
By the end of this lesson
Find the emergency room, show insurance details and ask where and when to visit a patient.
Practise an arrival at reception and a separate patient visit. Ask staff about the next step instead of assuming a diagnosis or discharge decision.
Say this now
Where is the emergency room?
A building (ตึก, dtèuk) is not necessarily a ward (หอผู้ป่วย, hǎw phôo bpùai). Visiting times and discharge depend on the hospital and patient. Times in these dialogues are invented practice examples. In Thailand, call 1669 for emergency medical assistance. Give your actual location and follow the operator’s questions. Official service details checked 16 October 2026.
Sentence shape: Emergency room → is where? → polite ending.
